We want to grow mushrooms as sustainably and efficiently as we can. We do this by looking critically at the way we grow, and making improvements whenever possible. Heereco stands for taste, quality and innovation.
Our organic range: white mushrooms, chestnut mushrooms, portobellos, oyster mushrooms, shiitake and dried organic mushroom slices (also available in bulk packs).


White mushroom
The white mushroom is the classic mushroom that is nearly universally loved. And with good reason. Rich in minerals and vitamins, white mushrooms are perfect in almost any dish from any cuisine.

Chestnut mushroom
The chestnut mushroom resembles the white mushroom, except, of course, for its colour. The flesh is a bit firmer and the taste a bit stronger with a slightly nutty flavour. Chestnut mushrooms also have a slightly lower moisture content which means they don't shrink quite as much when cooked.

Portobello
The chestnut mushroom's big brother. There are no mushrooms quite as versatile as portobellos. Tasty in all sorts of dishes, but also unbeatable on the barbecue, in the wok, or as a main course with a stuffing.

Oyster mushroom
Oyster mushrooms are high in vitamin D and packed with fibre which makes them very nutritious. Their texture bears similarities with chicken, and as a result, oyster mushrooms are good in many dishes. Oyster mushrooms come in three colour varieties, each with its own bite: grey, lime yellow and salmon pink.

Shiitake
Originally grown exclusively in Asia, but thanks to technological developments, shiitake now thrive here too. These are mushrooms with juicy flesh and a spicy, nutty taste. Good for creating flavour in the kitchen and ideal for stir-frying, stewing or grilling.

Dried mushrooms
Full of flavour and long-lasting. We have the best dried organic mushrooms thanks to the integrated technology we have developed.
